(writer referred to unknown)-
Since Plymouth Colony, many of this writers ancestors in every generation have been counted among the descenting "Old School Baptist." I offer the following as proof of this statement:
'Thomas Walling was one of those who "staid nd went not away" during the King Philip's War which began with an Indian attack on Swansea in Plymouth Colony near Rhode Island border.
'The first massacre came on 18 June 1675 as the colonists were returning home from a Fast Day Servcie at their church. Other attackes followed swiftly: Dartmouth, Taunton, nd Middleboro.
'The Indian who instigated the attacks was Metacomet, also called King Philip. He was the third son of Massasoit Chief of Wampanoags and leader of a League of Indians from Maine to Connecticut.' " | Walling, Thomas I (I10076)

1900 Census Image - Vorsila Maestrick given as mother to head of household, Frank Sprosty (wife Mary). As the surname is always given first, it would appear her name was Maestrick Vorsila; however, her daughter is Marie Maystrik. Because of this, I am listing her here as Vorsila Maestrick; with consideration for "Maestrick" being her married name.
1900 Census Summary Data - Ma*Strick Vorsila given as living with Frank Sprosty. He is listed as head of household and as son of Ma*Strick Vorsila. Mary Sprosty is listed as Frank's wife. Ohio death records show Marie A. Pokorny as daughter of Frank Sprosty and Marie Maystrik...and this Marie Pokorny is the same person with maiden name Marie Sprosty. While the summary data is unclear on the proper name for Ma*Strick Vorsila, it is apparent that she is Frank's mother-in-law (rather than "mother"). The image itself shows what appears to be the correct (married) name. | Dobrava, Anna (I4568)

November 3, 2008, received email re 1910 census data, ancestry.com and One World Tree data as follows:
1910 census from Curry, Putnam, West Virginia showing Mary and Andrew Jackson Atkins (both age 27) married with children of Nada age 2 and Lilly age 1 month. [note: This "Lilly" has to be Sally, born 1910 - addl note: Sally's 1909 birth record has been found, and her birth name was Cicly.]
ancestry.com for Mary Frances Horton with a date of death of 1928. The census
record was located in Mullins family tree.
One World Tree shows a Mary Horton (b 1900 d 1928) married to Andrew Adkins. Her father is shown as William Horton and mother as Octavia Egnor b abt 1866, d 1888.
=====
One LDS record shows a specific marriage date of October 12, 1882, Kanawha Co, WV, and shows William's middle initial as H. It also shows Octavia as Octaby.
====================
One record shows Lydia Woodrum as another wife of John Washington Egnor. Also she is shown as another wife of William Horton, husband of John Washington Egnor's daughter, Octavia Egnor; however, another John Washington Egnor is his son, Octavia's brother...a more probably match.
Carol Setliff's records show a Benjamin H. Plumley as born to Octavia and Plumley, but the H. seems to indicate he was son of Octavia and Horton, as there are three children listed with H. as middle name. Benjamin was listed as born May 1889; which conflicts with Willey H.'s birth year; however, Willey is also listed as born 1888. My personal records show a Balam Horton, which may be inaccurate or may be a nickname for Benjamin. | Horton, William H. (I2031)
