The history of the Lapice family says that they were descended from a noble family in Normandy...which agrees with their being allied with the Derouville family at least partly through marriage into the Grenot family.

The cemetery for "this parish" is the cemetery for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Fort-Liberte (Fort Dauphin). That cemetery is just southeast of St. Joseph's Cathedral. His burial then is outside of the cemetery proper.
