Doug Couch note: No evidence has been found as of 11-11-2008 that Octavia had a husband named Sutliff or Setliff, other than family recollection of Lorine Strickland Smith, daughter of Nada Adkins and great granddaughter of Octavia through Mary Frances Horton...as told to her by her mother, Nada (that her great grandmother was full-blood Cherokee, and married five times to Smith, Horton, Plumley, Sadler and Sutliff...order of marriages not given).
