John Cleypoole of Kings Cliffe, Northamptonshire, England is the earliest proven ancestor of the Northamptonshire Claypoole family of America. Although Richard Cleypoole, Constable at St. Andrew, and John Cleypoole, Alderman of Stamford have been proposed as John's father, neither of these have been proven.
