The Case FOR Bluesky and Parker Adkins
Peripherally related issue: Characterization of the native peoples of the now American continents vs. the truth: If you've read the many stories of atrocities by "Indians" (which are not necessarily untrue), consider reading the book, "American Holocaust: The Conquest of the New World" by David E. Stannard. Be aware that much of the "savagery" was learned from the European invaders to the western continents and was a response developed over a long period of genocide and abuse waged upon the natives without cause or the slightest vestige of sanity. People have been led to believe that abuse of the natives by Europeans was mostly war-related or isolated incidents. That belief is untrue. Slaughter of the natives became a coast to coast genocide throughout North, Central and South America continents, waged by military and civilians of European descent against natives...men, women and children. It is a wonder that any survived at all. |
