  Previously presented undocumented information on this site gave Jean Baptiste Vannier & Marie Anne Cloos as the parents of Jacob Vannier. No documentation of this was ever found. Abraham Wannier & Elisabetha Jung (Yung) have been partly verified as Jacob's parents through DNA testing (per manager of Elisabetha's findagrave.com memorial). The 1860 census in Brooklyn, NY shows Jacob's son, Leon and daughter, Mary, living with their Uncle Charles just after their father's death in 1859.
