  [S18812] The Clan MacNab. Although "The Clan MacNab" shows John as 11th Clan Chief, other records showing succession from the 1st chief to those later than Robert indicate he was 15th chief. However, when people recorded lists of chiefs years after the fact, sometimes chiefs were left out, causing the numbering to vary from compiler to compiler.
