Banks of Ohio River, Maysville, Mason Co, KY

Notes: The actual burial site described as Banks of Ohio River near Maysville, Kentucky is not known. One undocumented source said Capt. James Buckles, Sr. was buried at a place called Red Stone near Maysville. No such place has been found; however, the former name of Maysville was Limestone, and since there are also iron ore deposits in the area, this may account for a local name of Red Stone (named because of a similar effect as found in the "redwall limestone" layer at the Grand Canyon).
