Infant Son of General Marion Smith & Martha Francis Plumley Smith

See both birth record transcription images and notes above regarding this infant's names. Judging by the generic inscription placed on the gravestone (apparently by family later), these conflicting records made it impossible to be accurate with the name, and thus chose "INFANT"...otherwise, they would simply have used the infant's name, since clearly it had a name earlier than the death in 1900.
