Barravurich House of Archibald Fletcher 8th Clan Chief

The old house at Barravurich has undergone many alterations since it was the residence of the VIII Clan Chief, Archibald, in the late 17th and early 18th centuries. The IX Chief resided there until he moved to Dunans, followed by a Donald Fletcher of the Bernice line. Angus Fletcher , great-great-grandfat­her of Angus Fletcher (photographer), was residing there when he married Margaret McNichol in 1820.
